The latest update, Release Candidate, for WSJT-X was made available for download this week. After reading the Release Notes, I was excited to give it a try. One of the additions was the Wait and Reply.
Options to Wait and Reply, Wait and Call, and Wait and Pounce can
help you make QSOs under difficult propagation conditions while
minimizing transmitted QRM. These features, Filters, and
Auto-Sequencing are now available for all WSJT-X modes.
In the following screenshot, W4CLQ had called CQ POTA at 12:46UTC. I tried to call him 3 times before disabling Enable TX at 12:47UTC. A few minutes later, he responded to me at 12:49UTC, my program recognized that my callsign was being responded to, and automatically re-enabled TX to finish the QSO.
