It’s CADXA BBQ time! With Marcia’s help, I smoked 17lbs. of pulled pork and 13lbs. of chicken for the 47 attendees of this year’s BBQ. The club had intended to go back to the Kiwanis park like last year, but every Saturday in April and May had already been booked. Instead, we setup tables and used the kitchen at Bethany Lutheran Church on the same evening as the regular general meeting.
I was excited for this event, as it gave me an excuse to smoke some meat! This photo is half of the pulled pork prepared.
I didn’t take a picture of the chicken after it was chopped up, but it looked and smelled awesome after being seasoned and smoked.
Around 5:30pm, people started to filter in.
Food was served and everyone had a wonderful time socializing.
