The ARRL created a year long Volunteers on the Air event for 2023. There are points to earn and scoreboards, but what I’ve been particularly interested in is the rotating activations of W1AW. After helping as one of the operators for W1AW/7 Arizona in March, I started chasing the W1AW stations, trying to complete a W1AW WAS for 2023. The current scoreboard at https://vota.arrl.org/my-info.php reflects that I have 41 states confirmed and 9 remaining. (Screenshot shows 10 as it includes Washington DC.) The next AZ activation of W1AW/7 AZ will start Tuesday night, August 30th UTC.
